Los Poblanos Albuquerque Review

Los Poblanos

Nestled on 25 acres of lavender fields, massive cottonwood trees, and flourishing gardens and an organic garden in the Rio Grande River Valley, Los Poblanos Inn is a true New Mexico escape and the perfect low key place for a wellness weekend. Read on for our full review of Los Poblanos and find out why this is one of our favorite sustainable getaways for some R&R.

The Vibe

At this historic New Mexico hotel, guests are immersed in incredible natural surroundings, providing a relaxing opportunity to separate oneself from the stress of everyday life and focus on connecting with nature. But don’t get us wrong, there’s no need to sacrifice luxury for this natural experience.

In support of slowing down and focusing on wellness, guests can enjoy nature walks on the acequias and Los Poblanos Open Space, relax in the sala grande at the hacienda, take a dip in the pool, or borrow one of many cruiser bikes available to guests for exploring trails along the Rio Grande. Yoga classes, wine tastings, and cooking classes, are some wonderful events that Los Poblanos features. We also love their complimentary guided tours of the organic farm and fields.

Small touches like the scent of lavender that fills the hotel and homemade lavender bath products will complete your wellness experience.

The Rooms

Each room at Los Poblanos gives off its own expression of authentic New Mexico style with hardwood floors, carved ceiling beams, personal fireplaces, and antique southwest decor. With different local art in each room, each space offers something different.

Choose from a wide arrange of rooms from a cozy hacienda space (with a fireplace) to a large suite with a private porch. Stunning farm views are always included!

The Food

Food at Los Poblanos is not just a nice addition to the beautiful spot, but a major highlight. Located on the Los Poblanos’ organic farm, Campo is a casual fine dining spot that offers the finest in farm to fork food. Roasted vegetable tostadas, seared halibut with preserved lemon and spring alliums, and mole verde with smoked mushrooms and quinoa, are just a few dinner dishes that will leave you drooling. Breakfast is equally delicious, so delicious in fact you may want to order multiple dishes just to get a taste for everything. It’s no surprise that Bon Appetit magazine named it a top hotel for food lovers.

The Extras

Can’t get enough of Los Poblanos during your stay? Bring home some of their homemade, organic products like lavender salve, natural granola, lavender candles, new mexico style hot sauce and so much more. Yep, all made right there on the farm. Your family will love these!
